5-Reps: Fat loss workouts(?), onboarding clients, and money lies

Moving on, here are 2 coaching concepts, 2 business nuggets, and a quote to consider this week.

2 Coaching Concepts

1.

A FITNESS EXPERT knows all the right answers out of the textbook.

An EXPERT COACH understands that fitness from s client’s view is intimidating, confusing, expensive, and time-consuming.

There’s a big difference between the two. One is worth hiring, the other isn’t.

2.

When it comes to losing fat, the food you eat (or don’t eat) is a lot more important than what you do in the gym.

‘Fat-blasting’ metabolic workouts that leave your client’s gasping for air on the floor might actually be making fat loss more difficult. The body often fights back by adjusting the dials on appetite, NEAT levels, and metabolism.

While not the case all of the time, a good rule of thumb is to focus on building muscle in the gym, not burning fat.

2 Business Nuggets

1.

Onboarding a new client is your first chance to wow them.

It’s a great time to show them you care. Here’s a few ways:

  1. Send a personal welcome video (online)
  2. Get on Zoom and share your screen walking them through the QuickCoach account you just set up for them (online or in-person)
  3. Tell them exactly how to message you with questions
  4. Text them after writing their first program, excitedly sharing why it’s been written for them and their goals

“Don’t stop at:

“How did you hear about us?”

Take it one step further:

“Why do you think they suggested us?”

The prospective client will list your strengths, hear himself, and ultimate make your close that much easier.
