5-Reps: Girl Push-Ups, Sales After “I need to think about it”, and Glute Pumps

Happy 5-Reps Friday!

Here are 2 coaching concepts, 2 business nuggets, and a quote to consider this week.

2 Coaching Concepts

1.

There are no girl push-ups.

In every movement there are progressions.

And there are regressions.

For any exercise, learning 1-2 of each supercharges your abilities.

Different clients need different exercise variations.

Fixing bad push-ups

2.

Two simple programming tips:

a) Begin every workout the same way.

Use routine to get the client in motion.

eg. warmup / mobility sequence

b) End every workout on a high note.

Do something fun.

eg. glute pump, arm blaster, abs burn.

2 Business Nuggets

1.

“I need to think about it” is not a sales objection, it’s a stalling technique.

Here’s what you say in response:

“Okay, no problem. How do you feel about what we talked about today? Do you feel like the program can take you from point A to point B?”

Yes.

“What makes you say that?”

The prospect then gives the reasons why they believe the program can help them. They sell themselves.

At that point, you ask, “So what do you need to think about?”

2.

Good sales is the result of good questions.

Here are some good questions for your sales meetings:

“What’s your biggest challenge when it comes to [X] right now?”

“What specifically would you need help with?”

“What’s the biggest reason you aren’t already there?”

“What do you mean?”

“Why is that important to you now?”

“Just curious, what makes you say that?”

1 Quote to Consider

“Stop treating your body like you can trade it in when it breaks.”
