2 Coaching Concepts

1.

During a Q & A after giving a talk, a gym owner asked:

“My problem with online training is that I train my clients with kettlebells. What if they don’t have a kettlebell at home?”

I paused, and said:

“You train them without a kettlebell.”

Clients don’t care about kettlebells. You care about kettlebells.

Whatever results you could get for a client with a kettlebell can also be achieved other ways.

Focus on the outcome, not the tool.

2.

Expose children to gym environments and let them see you workout.

Especially Moms and daughters.

Imagine children growing up seeing strength training and gyms as normal instead of as intimidating places they struggle with as adults.

2 Business Nuggets

1.

If you want more clients, you must ask for them.

In your mind, it’s obvious how to buy from you.

There’s a link in your bio. Obvious, right?

But you live in your world. We don’t live in your world.

If you want clients, ask. Don’t assume anybody knows how to buy from you or even that you sell training.

Also, make it clear how to buy.

2.

Sell them what they want and give them what they need.

Most of your customers don’t care about the actual thing you’re selling.

That your program has three sessions or 10 is irrelevant. The exercises, sets, and reps don’t matter.

What matters is that they have a pain, and you can help that pain go away.

Don’t sell your process. Sell what the person will become as a result of your process.

1 Quote to Consider

‘Later’ is a silent killer.

It’s frustrating when clients think they need a perfect workout to start.

They’d be better off simply starting and figuring it out as they go.”
